RDC's shielding staff has been doing RF and Magnetic Shielding in the MRI Industry for 15 years. Our RF shield consists of sheet and rolled copper that is completely soldered to create the best attenuation possible. This allows you to get the best image quality that can be obtained.

By using rolled copper for RF Shielding, we always come to the site prepared. We all know that plans vs. on site conditions can vary, which can affect the "modular type" RF shields. RDC's shield conforms to your space so there is never a problem with pre-manufactured kits not fitting. Also, there is no manufacturing time so we can be on site when you need us, not "when we're ready."

RDC uses a pneumatic sealed RF door so there is never the need to replace broken "finger stock" at the doors edges which are always a problem with image quality. We provide the highest vision quality RF windows - so that it doesn't appear so much like you are looking through a double screen.

Magnetic Shielding has changed over the years, because the MRI equipment has changed. With the magnetic fields getting smaller, so has the need for magnetic shielding. Most sites are now only requiring shields using "silicon steel" or multiple layers of thin steel. By doing so, the structural requirements of the space for the shield installation have lessened along with the weight of the steel itself. This allows for quicker and easier magnetic shield installations than in the past.
